Certified Energy Manager® Training Programs
A Certified Energy Manager (CEM®) is an individual who optimizes the energy performance of a facility, building or industrial plant. The CEM is a systems integrator for electrical, mechanical, process and building infrastructure, analyzing the optimum solutions to reduce energy consumption using a cost-effective approach. CEM's are often team leaders and help to develop and implement their organizations' energy management strategies.
AEE offers three options to explore and prepare you for the CEM certification exam.

Certified Energy Manager® On-Demand Training Program
- The ideal participant is someone who is an energy professional -- energy managers, engineers, facility or business managers who are responsible for identifying and implementing energy management strategies.
- You will engage with professionals during this course, providing an excellent opportunity for peer-to-peer learning and networking.
- This program is held over 5 days.
- You earn 3.3 CEU | 33 PDH | 6.6 AEE Credits for completing this program.
- The ideal participant is someone who has at least 5 years of prior experience in energy management as a facility manager, utility employee, energy engineer or consultant - this program covers advanced concepts in a condensed schedule.
- This program is held over 5 days.
- You earn 1.2 CEU | 12.5 PDH | 2.5 AEE Credits for completing this program.
- The ideal participant ranges from an entry-level to an experienced energy management professional, who enjoys the flexibility of a self-paced learning environment.
- Access 24 hours of pre-recorded presentations for 6 months.
- You earn 2.4 CEU | 24 PDH | 4.8 AEE Credits for completing this program.
