Course Description

The Energy Master Planning process calls for a long-term perspective that is more than merely making reductions to last year's energy use. The plan should define a strategy that is shared throughout the organization to create a company mindset that includes all employees. Its goal is to move to greater energy efficiency and lower total operating costs.

This is a non-certification course.

Who Should Attend

The program is of greatest value to individuals responsible for energy management and energy-related cost reduction. Attendees of this program have included professionals from end-users in industrial, commercial, government, utility, institutional, municipal and residential sectors, as well as energy service and engineering firms.  Their roles have ranged from existing energy professionals, energy service providers, energy engineers, energy managers, facilities managers, business managers, and energy consultants.

Online Training Experience

Attending this program is an ideal opportunity to participate in a focused, fast-paced instructional program, designed to expand your knowledge of energy planning. The program is presented in short 2-hour sessions over the course of three days to allow professionals to attend while still maintaining their current work schedule.

What You Will Learn

This online training program will walk you through the five elements critical to developing an Energy Management Plan or Energy Master Plan (EMP) and help you move away from seeing energy as a line item expense in the budget.  This approach can be equally valuable, both to large, multi-facility organizations, as well as to small, single-owner operations with just a few employees. The instructor will show you how to incorporate long-range planning of energy cost reduction and control, and develop a fully integrated energy management program which moves beyond the confines of traditional engineering.
