SCOTT DUNNING, Ph.D., P.E., CEM, is a professor and director of the University of Maine School of Engineering Technology. As founding director of the university's Industrial Assessment Center, he has led over 200 industrial assessments of facilities throughout New England. He currently performs commercial audits for the Efficiency Maine Trust. Dr. Dunning is recognized as a national expert in energy efficiency, and has lectured and written widely in the field. He is a senior member of IEEE, a commissioner for the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc., and past chair of the Engineering Technology Division of the American Society of Engineering Education.
