Richard Andelman is a registered mechanical engineer and a Vice President at B2Q Associates, Inc., a Boston area consulting engineering firm specializing in the engineering, design, and development of energy efficiency, retro-commissioning, commissioning, and cogeneration (CHP) projects within commercial, industrial, and public facilities. He has over 25 years’ experience in the evaluation, analysis, design, installation, and commissioning of energy efficiency projects in thousands of facilities across the United States, and served as the team leader in the development of more than $30 million of utility-sponsored energy efficiency projects in New England and New York. Mr. Andelman previously served as National Corporate Energy Manager for large corporations, including CVS/Pharmacy and BJ’s Wholesale Club, and was responsible for their energy use and energy efficiency programs at thousands of facilities.
Mr. Andelman is currently the lead investigator for numerous retro-commissioning projects within the public and private sector commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational facilities. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.S. in Building Energy Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a registered professional engineer in MA and RI, and holds certification from the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager and Certified Building Commissioning Professional.
