AEE has partnered with Knowlogy® Training Centers to provide the very best in blended learning experiences. When you register, you select to attend in-person or virtually. Virtual attendees are fully integrated into the classroom experience and are able to interact with in-person attendees in real time for blended events. The Certified Energy Procurement Professional® (CEP®) Training Program is designed for professionals responsible for buying or selling energy, or looking to move into an energy procurement position. Over three days, your instructors will help you achieve a working knowledge of the current deregulated marketplace as well as the principles and practices of the highest relevance and practical value.
Early Registration Recommended:
- Registration for In-Person Attendance ends 7 days before the event start date or once capacity is reached.
- Early bird registration ends 10 days before the event start date. An additional surcharge of $100 will apply for registrations submitted 10 or less days before the event.

In-Person Classroom Experience
Travel to the training location and join your cohorts in a state of the art learning center. You benefit from being away from the office, daily interruptions, and direct face-to-face interaction with your fellow attendees and instructors.
In-person* seats are limited to follow social distancing guidelines. Early registration is highly recommended to reserve an in-person seat.

The health and well-being of our attendees and instructors is our top priority. In-person attendees can be assured AEE and the training facility adhere to the CDC's recommendations for social distancing and safety measures.
In-Person Training Materials
All registration and course materials will be given to attendees at sign-in on day 1 at the seminar location. Workbooks will not be pre-shipped to in-person attendees.

Virtual Training Materials
AEE will ship CEP Training materials directly to each virtual participant.
Participants must submit the correct shipping address on this form no later than 10 days before the event. Addresses confirmed 10 or less days before the event start may be subject to an additional surcharge. Electronic materials will not be provided. PO boxes are not permitted for this shipment.

- Learn the fundamentals of energy trading and risk management.
- Learn the best energy cost avoidance strategies that can benefit your company.
- Work through practical examples to demonstrate the topics and procedures covered
- Review the various areas of the Body of Knowledge associated with AEE’s Certified Energy Procurement Professional® (CEP®) exam.
- Discuss how to apply what you have learned to your business and applications.

This program is held over 3 Days.
Educational Credits
You earn 1.9 CEU | 19 PDH | 3.8 AEE Credits for completing this program.
Certification Program
This training program prepares attendees to take the Certified Energy Procurement Professional® (CEP®) exam. Please review the requirements for certification here. A separate certification and application fee applies.
On-site participants will have the opportunity to take the certification exam in-person on the final day of the training. AEE recommends submitting the CEP application at least 30 days prior to the seminar date.
Virtual attendees can now take the CEP® exam online through remote proctoring. Exam times are scheduled on an individual basis. To schedule your exam, you must first submit the CEP application and select virtual proctoring. ProctorU will then contact you within 1-2 weeks to schedule your exam.
